In November of 2004, the Department of Sociology,
Anthropology and Criminal Justice moved to its new home at 405-7 Cooper
Street. The entrance to the building is on the campus side, on
Lawrence. Our building is visible from the flagpole at the center of
campus. We are right behind the admissions building (the Ayer Mansion)
that is beside the library. A picture of the admissions building is at
the bottom of this page if you are unsure which building that is.
Here's a picture of our building taken from near the flagpole at the
center of campus. We're the white building in the back of the photo. We
have a covered porch with two benches on it and hanging flowerpots.
How to get in the building
at night: Our doors are locked at night, but you can get in to
see individuals by
calling from the house phone at the back door. Merely push the black
button, dial the four-digit extension of the party you want, and that
individual can buzz you in from his/her office. NOTE: the door
unlocking mechanism cannot work if you call from a cellphone.
